Who is Phase 1 for?+
Phase 1 is intended for serious dryer-vent business owners, company teams, and technicians who want a more complete professional system for inspection, documentation, homeowner education, field execution, and business implementation.
Do I need prior dryer-vent experience?+
NEEDS CONFIRMATION — David to confirm minimum experience requirements. If beginners are accepted, this answer will explain any pre-work and physical/technical expectations. If experience is required, the minimum will be stated clearly.
Is this only a cleaning class?+
No. The curriculum includes complete-system thinking, evidence and documentation, customer education, professional presentation, field procedures, safety references, pricing architecture, and owner implementation.
How much does Phase 1 cost?+
Available Phase 1 packages range from $10,000 to $15,000. The correct option depends on the number of participants and the included training and implementation components. Every applicant receives the exact price and written terms before enrolling.
What is included?+
Students receive instructor-led training, the Phase 1 Training Manual, the Phase 1 Appendix Manual, defined training resources, and the components included in their written package. NEEDS CONFIRMATION — final package comparison.
Does completing the class guarantee certification?+

Will Phase 1 guarantee that I earn more money?+
No. DVU provides education, systems, resources, and implementation guidance. Results depend on the student, market, pricing, lead flow, skill, costs, compliance, management, and many other factors.
Will I automatically produce specific-dollar tickets?+
No. Any DVU or student examples must be understood in their documented context and are not guaranteed or typical results. Phase 1 teaches a more complete inspection, documentation, education, and service approach; each homeowner decides what work to authorize.
Does DVU certification replace licenses or insurance?+
No. Every company and technician remains responsible for required licenses, permits, insurance, manufacturer instructions, employer obligations, and applicable laws and codes.
Does DVU certify that every home is safe?+
No. Training and inspection are limited in scope and cannot eliminate every risk, concealed condition, future failure, or homeowner responsibility.
What happens after I apply?+
DVU reviews the application. If the program appears to be a potential fit, the applicant is invited to a qualification call to discuss goals, requirements, package options, tuition, and next steps.
Are travel and lodging included?+
